This drama was largely made great by its cast.
Jeong Eun Ji’s acting was top-notch, as always. She pulled off all of the complicated emotions that her character goes through trying to thrive in the adult world, in a relatable way, and her reaction to the Freaky Friday-esque transformation that she goes through was golden. Not to mention that seeing her act using her dialect was very charming.

In the same way, Lee Jung Eun’s character was, as always, phenomenal. Personally, we really love her acting, regardless of the the role she takes on and that truly pays off once again in Miss Night and Day. She was hilarious and her portrayal of the character was such a heartwarming thing to experience.

The casting director of this drama knew what they were doing because they could not have paired two better actresses together. They bounced off of each other’s energy in a delightful way considering that they were barely on screen together and had to basically portray the same character – which can’t be easy.
The comedian Kim Ah Young was a pleasant surprise. Knowing that she’s a comedian, this writer had very low expectations for her acting but she was surprisingly good and also helped amp up the comedy aspect of this K-Drama which made it so lovable. Her and Mi Jin’s parents (played by Jung Young Joo and Jung Suk Yong) were some of the standout support characters.

We have to give a shoutout to Baek Seo Hoo, too. His cute antics were also another part of what made this drama so great.

Another endearing part of this show is that despite there being elements of romance, the main focus was all about having a job and in the bigger scheme of things about being capable and having a purpose. We went on a journey of self-discovery as opposed to just following a love story – which somehow gives you a bigger payoff (depending on what you’re looking for, of course).
Overall, Miss Night and Day was a solid watch and a great drama to watch when you’re looking for something not too serious which can make you laugh.
