What Is OINK The Dark Pig All About? 

For those of you who might be unfamiliar with the film, OINK The Dark Pig is a horror film that will have scary movie enthusiasts gleeful at the level of sheer gore. With classic ‘70s and ‘80s slasher film tropes at the center of the narrative, this film tells the story of an unhinged killer wearing a grotesque pig mask, who stalks a young nursing student. However, the story takes a turn as he discovers that he is being stalked himself by an unrelenting detective who wants to put an end to his violent killing spree. 

Inspired by classic horror films such as Scream and Friday the 13th, the film encompasses the spirit of all things petrifying and scary. It has been anticipated as something so gruesome that horror enthusiasts will watch it without blinking. 

An Update About The Crowdfunding Status Of OINK The Dark Pig’s Feature Film

Directed by Steve Gray, the film boasts an incredibly talented cast and crew, who all have an intense passion for all thinks dark and of the horror genre. Unfortunately, as this is an independent project, despite the passion of everyone involved, the production process is not without slight bumps in the road.

OINK The Dark Pig had been raising vital funding to be able to bring its future audience the ultimate viewing experience. In order to fulfill director Steve Gray and assistant director Jo Jo Payne’s artistic vision, the production crew started a crowdfunding campaign that you can read more about in our most recent OINK The Dark Pig article.

The funds were intended to be used to secure the best high-quality outcome for the film through resources such as talent and location fees, special effects essentials, and many other production costs. 

Unfortunately, the production team has not been able to achieve their goal yet, however, they are not letting that stop them from telling the story of Oink and sharing it with the masses. The show must go in and Oink is indeed still the main protagonist. 

OINK The Dark Pig Is Reborn As A Fully Cast Audio Play

Gray has come up with a movingly creative solution, taking a pivotal step in the production by pre-releasing an exciting project that will have waiting fans satisfied until the film can raise enough funds to reach completion. He will release a dynamic and fully cast audio play of OINK The Dark Pig. 

The OINK The Dark Pig audio play has been created in a production style reminiscent of classic radio shows such as Radio Mystery Theater and Lights Out!, bringing a rich audio experience that captures the essence of the story to listeners’ ears. 

The audio play will be released as a CD under the Daark Chapel/Day of Vengeance Records Outfit and will be beautifully packaged, complete with a T-shirt, stickers, and a poster. We can’t emphasize enough how beautiful this package will be. Firstly, the art has been created in the most intricate way, with fine lines, chilling shadow detail, gruesome blood detail, and a horrific portray of the main characters in the story – the makings for an epic tale told through sonic storytelling.

This way, not only does the package serve as entertainment for listeners, but it also comes with memorabilia that can help them hold onto the spirit of Oink and the sincerity that has been encompassed in this project.
