Red Velvet’s Irene (under SM Entertainment) is set to showcase her musical versatility with her first mini-album Like A Flower, which will be released on November 26.
Among the tracks featured in Irene’s solo debut is ‘Summer Rain,’ a pop ballad characterized by its deep bass and ethereal synth sounds. Irene’s delicate vocals, which skillfully transition between head and chest voice, are a standout element. The lyrics convey a warm, hopeful message: even if we sway like daisies trapped in a summer rain, as long as we have each other, we can navigate through any storm together.

Another track, ‘Calling Me Back,’ blends 808 bass, trap beats, dreamy synths, and layered piano lines to create a futuristic pop R&B dance song. The confident lyrics reflect the excitement and unfamiliarity of new love, matched by Irene’s smooth yet dynamic vocal performance, which amplifies the song’s emotional impact.

‘Start Line,’ another highlight of the album, features a lively synth bass intertwined with rich band instrumentation. The song’s lyrics encourage taking bold steps forward and emphasize that no matter the challenge, one can always start anew alongside those who support them.
Irene’s debut mini-album ‘Like A Flower’ will be available for streaming on various music platforms and will also be released as a physical album on November 26 at 6 PM KST.
