Look. I’m going to keep this real. The Royal Treatment is a good watch if you’re looking for a simple entertaining movie to watch. There’s not a lot to think about except some confusing elements that end up being pretty distracting.
First of all, the accents in this film are a mess. Not only that, but once we arrive in Lavania (knock-off Genovia) they get even messier and the whole country’s identity is confusing. Granted there are many multinational nations across continents, however there is no sense of commonality. I’ve never seen a movie where the extras create confusion in the film. Each extra had a different accent and culture, and it just made the film weirder.

Next issue, the dialogue was so on the nose that it was mind-numbing. There were some funny lines but other than that, this was far from a crafty screenwrite.
However, despite these criticisms, the film wasn’t bad at all. It was fun to watch and high-spirited.
I liked the dynamic between Izzy and the prince. Their chemistry was super cute and they created a lot of fun scenes.

It was an easy viewing experience.
What did you think of The Royal Treatment?
Not a bad chick flick, but very much predictable. Reminded me of “Coming to America”, but at least coming to America was fun to watch.
