First of all, the best part of this whole series was definitely the title. It is confusing and not at all memorable but somehow everyone knows about it. Great marketing tactic.

That contradiction goes for the series itself, too. Everyone either loves or hates this series. I’ve yet to see an in between and I’m of the mind that it was an interesting series.
You honestly won’t enjoy it if you take it too seriously. The storyline has an interesting build up but you need to keep an open mind to appreciate the plot twists and turns.
Kristen Bell’s character was critical but stable with a lot of issues related to loss. With a wine and pill addiction, a voyeurism habit, and disillusion in the works, there was no way that she wouldn’t have been a fascinating protagonist.

The series was funny in an ironic way without trying to be a comedy. It was fun to watch as you found yourself continuously making wrong hunches about who the suspect was.
The only truly unbelievable thing about the show was the ending.
SPOILER ALERT!!!
I never imagined that the little girl would’ve been the murderer and the fact that she just died after the reveal was less than satisfying. Her being the culprit was not only unbelievable but it needed stronger motivation.

The film Orphan comes to mind. If they had set the girl’s character up to be like the girl in Orphan, with hints at her psychological issues, then I would’ve believed the ending more.
Chasing a huge plot twist might have been the biggest downfall of this series as it killed the ability to believe in the story. However, it did make for great entertainment value.
What did you think of the series?
