One of the saddest moments for any K-pop fan is finding out that your favorite group is disbanding. Unfortunately, some groups come to a point where they have to say goodbye to a chapter of their careers and in some cases to their fans, too.
This is a list of 26 K-pop groups that disbanded in 2022.
Note: This list is in no particular order.
1. NU’EST

NU’EST debuted in March 2012.
Pledis Entertainment announced that NU’EST would conclude their activities after the release of their final album in March 2022.
2. D-CRUNCH

D-CRUNCH debuted in August 2018.
Ai Grand Korea announced that D-CRUNCH would be disbanded in November 2022.
3. BVNDIT

BVNDIT debuted in April 2019.
MNH Entertainment announced that BVNDIT’s exclusive contract would be terminated at the end of October 2022.
4. MAMADOL

MAMADOL debuted in January 2022.
They were a short-term project girl group formed on the show “Mama the Idol”. The group disbanded upon the conclusion of the final episode of the show.
5. BOTOPASS

BOTOPASS debuted in August 2020.
WKS ENE announced that the group would be splitting and the members would be going their separate ways in August 2022.
6. LUNARSOLAR

LUNARSOLAR debuted in September 2020.
J Planet Entertainment announced that LUNARSOLAR’s members would be terminating their exclusive contract as of May 2022.
7. HOT ISSUE

HOT ISSUE debuted in April 2021.
S2 Entertainment announced that they have decided to disband HOT ISSUE in April 2022.
8. QODES

QODES debuted in February 2021.
Member Yu Kyung (also known as Delta) announced that despite there not being an official statement made, the group had been disbanded in May 2022. It is speculated that they disbanded in early 2022.
9. APRIL

APRIL debuted in August 2015.
In January 2022, DSP Media announced that APRIL had decided to disband and go their separate ways.
10. TRCNG

TRCNG debuted in October 2017.
In March 2022, the members of TRCNG (except Si Woo) took to social media to let fans know that their contracts had been terminated and that the group would be disbanding.
11. CLC

CLC debuted in March 2015.
CUBE Entertainment announced that CLC would be terminating their operation in June 2022.
12. G-reyish

G-reyish debuted in June 2017.
Big Ocean ENM announced that they would be wrapping up the group’s activities as of May 2022.
13. ARIAZ

ARIAZ debuted in October 2019.
Rising Star Entertainment announced that Yun Ji, Hyo Gyeong, and Yeo Ri would be terminating their contracts and leaving the group. The other members decided to stay to pursue other endeavors.
14. DIA

DIA debuted in September 2015.
PocketDol Studios announced that DIA’s contract expired and that the group would disband in September 2022.
15. I.C.E

I.C.E debuted in November 2015.
The members of the group announced that they disbanded via Instagram.
16. BLING BLING

BLING BLING debuted in November 2020.
MAJOR9 announced that they would terminate the group’s contract and future activities as of July 2022.
17. FAINIT

FAINIT debuted in June 2022.
They are assumed to have disbanded in July 2022 after a very short promotional period.
18. GIRLKIND

GIRLKIND debuted in January 2018.
Next Level Entertainment announced that GIRLKIND would no longer be active due to internal issues from August 2022.
19. HINT

HINT debuted in March 2017.
The group is said to have disbanded after making the announcement on Instagram in September 2022.
20. HOLICS

HOLICS debuted in March 2016.
In March 2022, their CEO said that they were not disbanding and were even preparing for a comeback. However, in another DM conversation with another fan, they said that the group is unofficially disbanded.
21. CHECKMATE

CHECKMATE debuted in September 2020.
In December 2022, the group’s content creator and manager shared that they disbanded after their “YOU” promotions.
22. We Girls

We Girls debuted in August 2018.
Member Ye Hana revealed on Instagram that the group had disbanded in February 2022.
23. Blue Fox

Blue Fox debuted in October 2018.
The group announced in September 2022 that they have disbanded for personal and health reasons.
24. LAONZENA

LAONZENA debuted in May 2021.
Fans have come to the assumption that the group has disbanded as member Chae E has reportedly joined another entertainment company.
25. MVP

MVP debuted in March 2017.
Member Ra Yoon revealed that the group had disbanded in February 2022.
26. REDSQUARE

REDSQUARE debuted in May 2020.
They have reportedly disbanded and rebranded as the new girl group IRRIS in 2022.
