Love and Wish is a web drama that followed a typical school romance storyline. The romantic plot was predictable and nothing out of the ordinary, making it an easy watch.

However, the drama had a focus on school violence and mature themes about emotional manipulation, mental health etc.

The acting from Young Jae and Choi Ye Bin was really good. Seeing Young Jae in a dark role versus his usual bright persona was refreshing and he did it so well that he caused your heart to sting at his story.

It was also good to see Choi Ye Bin in a role that reflects a more regular personality for someone of her age. It should surely get her more casting roles in the future. The remaining cast was also pretty convincing.

However, one part of the story that I battled to understand was how both girls involved with Young Jae were able to rely on and empathize with each other so easily. It felt a little bit hard to believe but it was heartwarming nonetheless.

The drama was overall decent, especially for its length.
